Millburn High School Girls Volleyball had a stellar season on the court, making it all the way to states. Their efforts off the court in community service, however, proved to be even more distinguished and deserve special praise. Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman players served over 2,500 volleyballs during Millburn High School Girls Volleyball Serve-A -Thon to help raise money for cancer care and St. Barnabas Comfort Project 360. This is the second year of a partnership with the Comfort Project which creates a positive environment to help cancer patients during their journey of recovery.
Volleyball Players Isabella Colarossi, Jordan Hass and Jess Toledo were recognized as the top fundraisers, while Jess Toledo and Lais Santos led the team as serving champions. These players, along with their head coach Bill Rentiers presented Ms. Hyla Weis, founder of Comfort Project 360, with a check for $1600 . This generous donation will be used to help transform infusion and exam rooms at St. Barnabas.
